Jared leaves Riverfall; for the other side of the world!

Riverfall Financial
Building relationships based on trust. Ensuring you have the most money, when you need it most. Securing your financial future.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working at Riverfall. I have enjoyed working with many of the Riverfall clients and feel that I have really developed as an adviser.

I have loved being part of the fantastic Riverfall team who work hard but are also fun to be around. However, an amazing and exciting opportunity has come up for my family and I and we are looking forward to moving out to China in July.

My wife Sophie and I have been offered teaching jobs at an excellent school in the city of Qing Dao. Sophie is planning to teach English to primary school aged children and I am hoping to teach Psychology, World Civilization and American Literature to GCSE aged children. As part of our move I will also be provided with 2 hours per week of Mandarin lessons which will be invaluable.

This last year has been a busy one. It’s been such a blessing becoming a Father and seeing our daughter Lilia grow and develop every day. It’s hard to believe she is nearly 8 months old now. No doubt her Mandarin will soon overtake mine and she will be keeping me on my toes with my pronunciation and Chinese characters.

Qing Dao is a beautiful city and has some of the best beaches China has to offer. A lot of money was invested into the city ahead of the 2008 Olympics as all the sailing events were hosted there. As Qing Dao was formerly a German occupied region it is also well know for its beer. If you’ve had a Chinese beer, it will most likely be from Qing Dao!

I would like to say a big thank you to Jessica and the Riverfall Team who have welcomed me and looked after me over these last 18 months or so. We will be staying in touch and I will be keeping an eye on Riverfall's development moving forwards.

I would also like to thank all the clients I have worked with. I hope that I have been able to help you achieve peace of mind where possible and it has been a privilege serving you.

May I wish you all the very best for the future. I will finish by saying goodbye in Mandarin.

Zài Jiàn (or in character form) 再见!

We wish you all the very best of luck Jared!
